Woman fatally struck in Pomona hit-and-run, 2nd pedestrian death in the area in 2 days

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Pomona on Monday evening, April 22, in the area in two days.
Police were called around 8:43 p.m. Monday and found the victim on the roadway of North Towne Avenue, near East Monterey Avenue. The woman, whose identity had not been released, was hospitalized and later died, Pomona police said.
On the morning of Sunday, April 21, a man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver on South Towne Avenue at East Ninth Street, less than a mile from the second collision.
