Registration is open for the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley’s annual Critter Camp, a weeklong interactive learning experience for students entering the second through sixth grade, June 17-21.

Camp sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Humane Society’s facility in San Bernardino.

During hands-on Critter Camp, participants will experience the world of bugs, marsupials, therapy and service animals and will learn the difference between wild and tame animals. Students will also receive snacks, reinforcement materials and take-home crafts.

Activities and lessons will reinforce the importance of safety around and kindness to animals, as well as taking care of the environment, according to a news release.

Participants will also create Stars of HOPE to send encouragement to people who have experienced a disaster or tragedy or to people to whom they want to show their appreciation and gratitude.

The fee for Critter Camp is $60, and limited partial financial assistance is available. Registration is requested by June 7.

To register, call 909-386-1400, ext. 218, or stop by the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley at 374 W. Orange Show Road, San Bernardino.
