Name: Makala Traylor

Sport: Track and field

Year: Junior

Noteworthy: Traylor claimed three individual championships and also led a relay team to another victory at last week’s Sunkist League track and field finals at San Gorgonio High School. She won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.49 seconds and later completed the sweep by winning the 300-meter hurdles in 51.56. Traylor started the day by running a leg on Carter’s winning 4×100 relay team (51.32), and she also brought home the title in the 100-meter dash (13.04). Traylor will compete in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 prelims Saturday at Ontario High School.
