Laha Jean Brown Jamison was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Guthrie M. Wright and Jessie Mae Hatcher Wright. Laha was the loving older sister of Guthrie M. Wright, Jr. and Gwendolyn Yvonne Moore, all of whom preceded her in death. Her passion for music and opera led her to study in Memphis after graduating from Westinghouse High School. She later earned her Associate Degree at Riverside, RCC.In 1982, Laha married the love of her life, Roland Briggs Jamison, whom she met at Riverside City College in 1978. They shared a deep love for each other and enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends. Laha and Roland were blessed with three children, Donald ‘Speedy’ Brown, Jr., Darcel Brown, and Kerry ‘Joe’ (Patty) Rucker, and adored grandchildren, T’Anthony Cooper, Leanna Rucker, and Danielle Rucker.Laha will be missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Laha’s legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will forever live on in our hearts.
