expansion continues in the Inland Empire.

The drive-thru coffee shop’s latest location opened last week in Upland.

It’s built on the footprint of a former ’60s-era Winchell’s Donuts, notes fellow columnist David Allen.

The location, 887 W. Foothill Blvd., is open 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Future Inland Empire locations include 8010 Cherry Ave., Fontana; and , San Bernardino; 23140 Hemlock Ave., Moreno Valley; and 3121 W. Florida Ave., Hemet.

New in Rialto

Rialto’s second has finally opened.

The long-gestating drive-thru at 1100 W. Foothill Blvd. joins an older location at 1611 S. Riverside Ave.

Hours are 10 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.

Now open in Upland

is now open in Upland.

It’s at 425 N. Mountain Ave., formerly a longtime Carrows Restaurant.

The restaurant lives up to its name, with a wide selection of Mexican and American — well, mostly Mexican — breakfast, lunch and dinner items.

Dos Mundos is open 9 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.

is hosting its second annual on Saturday, May 4.

The event runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Wrightwood Community Center Lot, 1275 Highway 2.

The event will feature food, live music, a cornhole tournament, a Utility Task Vehicle Show and Shine and plenty of Wrightwood Brew Co. beer.

During the transition to the new ownership, the downtown Redlands Mexican restaurant is open for patio dining and takeout only.

El Diablo joins menu

has brought back its El Diablo burger, this time permanently.

The spicy burger features two charbroiled all-beef patties, two strips of bacon, crispy jalapeño Poppers Bites, pepperjack cheese and habanero ranch sauce on a seeded bun.

Red Lobster’s daily deals

has introduced five new for a limited time.

The weekday deals are as follows:

Monday: Ultimate endless shrimp, served with a side, for $25. Available in-store only.

Tuesday: Crab your way, a pound of snow crab legs prepared your way over crispy potatoes, with a side. Prepared simply steamed or with roasted garlic butter, $20.
